Another Special Event was again a complete success. The STV production team arrived at the sale room at 3.30, followed closely behind by Antiques experts Mr Mark Stacey and Mr Charlie Ross, they were in a Classic Mercedes Convertible. As the film crew were busy setting up their equipment, I had a quick chat with Mark & Charlie ,they were keen to know what interest there had been on their 11 lots. I told them interest had been shown, but as this was a competition between the two experts I didn't give much away. The sale room soon filled to full capacity, with only minutes to go before the start of the sale there was standing room only. I introduced Mark, Charlie and the film crew and the sale began. I had placed their lots into the main auction lots in a way that the film crew could discuss with Mark & Charlie the out come of each lot. The last of the 11 lots went through about 6.45. The team continued to film the auction for about 30 Mins after that. They all thanked us for letting them film the sale and told us that the new series of "Antiques Road Trip" will be televised in the Autumn. When the items arrived at the saleroom ,there was nothing saying which of the 11 lots were who's, and we still don't know. On Monday morning however I had a phone call off a certain person telling me who had won. Sorry folks you will have to watch the new series to find out. We would like to thank everyone who attended the sale and hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We also would like to thank all our staff who as usual made the sale run as smooth as clockwork. See you all on the TV Lee Sherratt (Auctioneer) Lee Sherratt A.S.H. Auctions |
